The Way of Jesus: A Guide for Disciples

From the author: The Way of Jesus; A Guide for Disciples is a Bible study series exploring what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The longer I live the more enamored I become with Jesus. He simply is amazing. In recent years I have not only fallen more in love with who Jesus is but have come to deeply appreciate the way Jesus lived and how He invited others to join Him in that Way.

In the earliest days, followers of the Way did not call themselves Christians but instead described their new life and relationship with Jesus in terms of disciples following a master. This deceptively simple, yet profoundly powerful relationship of disciple and master, was the framework through which Jesus led and His followers followed. Through the journey of discipleship, angry, proud, incompetent, bickering disciples were transformed to be like Jesus. I want to be like them because I want to be like Him. If you want the same, then I want to invite you to join me on this journey. No matter where you are in your walk, Jesus’ invitation to “Follow me” is aimed at you.

Through the teachings of Jesus, the examples of His followers, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will delve into the heart of discipleship. We will discuss the challenges, the joys, and the profound impact that discipleship can have on our lives and on those around us. Each study is designed to encourage reflection and discussion, foster spiritual growth, and equip us to live out our relationship with Jesus with purpose and conviction.
